How much flowers cost?

How much flowers cost?

Today I will talk about how much flowers cost. Price is a topic that many of us, professional floral designers, really like to educate the average consumer about why we charge what we charge.

This article from Flowers Floral Florist will make you understand a little more about the cost behind a brick and mortar florist.

One thing that we, at The Flower Studio always do, it is no hidden, no under the rug charges. Every arrangement has a price, and we will breakdown for you if necessary, so you can understand where your money is going.  We are all shoppers, and for me it is a must that the value is there.

I do not look for the cheapest, I always look for the medium / average price and go from there.

So for example, this specific arrangement called CupCake Time

It is available for $20 ( regular price is $30 )+ tax this week on our website.

Here is the breakdown for you:

  • Container / clear box / ribbon / candle / tag / flower food / foam - what we called " hard goods"= $11
  • 7 dianthus - $2 each = $14
  • Labor charge ( yes we do have to charge you to put together this petite yet yummy arrangement ) - 20% = $4.80
  • Total: $29.80 ( rounded up to $30, but on sale for $20 this week)

And so on, with all the other arrangements.

We hope this blog post will make you understand a little more about how much flowers cost.

Have a great week everyone!

My best, always.
